Application conditions and documents

Eligibility of Applicants

  1. Being a foreign investor having a seal abroad

Application documents include:

  1. Document of request to bring seals from abroad into Vietnam for use, clearly stating the reasons for and scope for use of the seal
  2. A seal specimen
  3. Document that permits the operation of foreign agencies and organizations in Vietnam granted by the competent authorities (hand in the legal copy and show the original at the time of application)
  4. People responsible for implementation of procedures of bringing seals from abroad into Vietnam for use must show their passports or identity cards
The process
  1. Foreign agencies, organizations except for diplomatic representative offices operating in Vietnam wish to bring seals from abroad into Vietnam for use shall prepare dossiers and submit to the competent authority.
  2. Within 7 days after the prescribed dossiers of agencies and organizations are received, the police offices shall grant the permit

Non-compliance penalty

A fine between 500.000 VND and 1.000.000 VND for the act of bringing seals from abroad for use in Vietnam without the permission of Vietnamese competent authorities or without implementation of procedures in line with regulations. Depending on seriousness, the seas would be confiscated

Please, in user-friendly language! 

Within 07 working days as from the date of receiving the permission to bring seals from abroad into Vietnam for use, foreign agencies and organizations using these seals should bring Permits and seals to provincial – level police offices in localities where they headquartered to register and receive “Seal specimen registration certificates”
